ROCKY MOUNT, N.C.- The N.C. Wesleyan college women's soccer team cruised to a 2-0 victory over conference rival William Peace University on Senior Day at Scalf Field Saturday.

Led by a goal each from sophomore Manuela Cano and senior Jordan Forbess, The Lady Bishops improve to 4-6-1 overall and 2-3 in the USA South while Peace falls to 2-8-1 and 0-5.

Wesleyan dominated the game and the shot count outshooting the Pacers 14-1 in the first half and 12-0 in the second. Forbess got on the board first in the 19th minute of action with her goal off an assist from fellow senior Maggie Rankin. Rankin then assisted on the second goal as well when Cano scored early in the second half.  The goal was Forbess' fourth on the season while Cano's was her first. Rankin also has three assists on the year as well.

The goalkeeping tandem of Alicia Jacobs and Cassie Sullivan did not need to make any saves in the game as the defense stood stout in front of them.

The Lady Bishops are next in action on Wednesday when they go on the road to face conference rival Methodist University at 7 PM.
