RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan College Women's Soccer team could not find the back of the net in dropping their conference match 2-0 on the road at William Peace University on Wednesday evening.

A scoreless first half saw the Lady Bishops take an 8-2 lead in shots into the break. Peace then broke the scoreless game with a goal 6 and a half minutes into the second half as a shot form 20 yards out beat junior goalkeeper Alicia Jacobs.

Peace would then add an insurance goal in the 77th minute on a breakaway to make it 2-0 with 13 minutes remaining. Unfortunately, the Lady Bishops would not be able to get on the scoreboard even as they still outshot the Pacers 11-6 for the game.

Junior forward Cydney Nichols led with 4 shots while Jacobs made 3 saves on 5 shots on goal. Wesleyan falls to 4-7 overall and 2-2 in the East Division while Peace improves to 6-6 and 2-1 in the Division.

Wesleyan will next be in action on Saturday at 2:00 PM when they return home to host Salem College on Senior Day.

The Bishops will also be honoring their 1994 Final Four Team on the 25th anniversary at the conclusion of the women's game right before the Wesleyan Men's team takes the field at 4 to host Pfeiffer.
