Lopez Named Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week

Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South has released its weekly awards for March 3rd, with North Carolina Wesleyan freshman Natalia Lopez of women's tennis picking up the first Rookie of the Week award of her career.

Lopez, a native Maracaibo, Venezuela, earned a singles and doubles win over opponents from USA South foe Averett University in her only match last week. She did not surrender a game in either of the two matches, using teammate Katie Beeman to earn the doubles victory. The Bishops won the match 6-3.
