Montgomery, Ala. / LaGrange, Ga. - The Battling Bishop women's tennis team saw its 2014 season come to an end on Saturday with a pair of USA South losses at Huntingdon and LaGrange by 7-2 and 5-2 scores, respectively. NCWC freshman Natalia Lopez played a part in a trio of the Battling Bishops' points, tallying a pair of wins at #1 singles to go along with a win at #1 doubles.

Wesleyan began with a Saturday morning match-up with the Hawks of Huntingdon. Lopez and partner Katie Beeman (C) tallied an 8-3 win at #1 doubles, while Lopez went on to secure a straight-set win at the top singles position (6-2, 6-3).

The Bishops then traveled to LaGrange and elected to play a Saturday evening match in order to miss Sunday's impending weather. Playing to decision, Lopez and Beeman were again victorious with straight-set wins at the top two positions. The Panthers' default win at #3 doubles, however, clinched the match.

Wesleyan ends the season with a 3-9 overall record.
