The USA South Conference has announced that Lady Bishop freshman women's tennis player Fariza Abdulloeva has been named as the Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week for the third time this season.

Fariza Abdulloeva, N.C. Wesleyan - The freshman from Samarkand, Uzbekistan earned a 3-0 record at both the top singles and doubles spots last week for the Battling Bishops. Abdulloeva collected singles victories over opponents from USA South foes Meredith, William Peace and Mary Baldwin. In doubles, Abdulloeva teamed with Milena Amedieva to earn the three wins.
This was her third time winning the award as she is now 16-4 in singles on the season including 5-0 in conference. She is also 13-4 and doubles and is looking to help the Lady Bishops (11-4, 6-0) win the regular season title this week.
They return home to host Salem at 2:00 PM today and at Greensboro at 1:00 Friday.
