Even though the NC Wesleyan College women's tennis match final conference match with Greensboro was canceled due to rain, the Lady Bishops were still crowned regular season USA South Conference Champs.
The Lady Bishops finished 7-0 in conference play shutting out every opponent they played except one against Pfeiffer and that loss was only due to an injury default. The women will now enter the USA South Conference Tournament on Friday as the top seed and will face off with the West Division #4 seed and host, LaGrange College (4-4) in a 12:30 PM match.
The women, 12-4 overall, are led by the freshmen duo of 3x Conference Rookie of the Week, Fariza Abdulloeva (17-4), and 1x Conference Player and Rookie of the Week, Milena Amedieva (14-5).
The Ladies finished 5-0 at home and 6-1 on the road this season and will look to win their second straight conference tournament title next weekend.
