ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. – The regionally 11th ranked NC Wesleyan College women's tennis team will make its second straight trip to the NCAA Division III National Tournament, as the Lady Bishops head to Atlanta, Ga. to compete against Hanover College (Ind.) in opening round action on Friday at 10:00 AM at the SAAC, Emory's satellite campus.

The Bishops are in a five-team regional hosted by nationally-ranked No. 1 Emory (Ga.). Two other nationally ranked teams, No. 23 Washington & Lee (Va.) and No. 30 Sewanee (Tenn.), join the regional as well. The host-Eagles will face the winner of the Hanover-NC Wesleyan match in the second round to be played Saturday at 10 AM.

The Emory-hosted regional will take place May 10-12. If weather forces play indoors at the WPEC center, then the Ladies will play Hanover at 8:30 am Friday and 11:30 am Saturday vs. Emory if they win. The women's final would be Sunday at Noon at both venues.

The Bishops were one of the automatic qualifying schools and received its bid after winning its second consecutive USA South Athletic Conference tournament championship last weekend in LaGrange. The Bishops are currently on a 13-match winning streak and are 15-4 overall while posting a perfect 10-0 mark against USA South competition for its 2nd consecutive regular season title and are led by 9th ranked Fariza Abdulloeva and 14th ranked Milena Amedieva. The doubles team of Fariza and Milena is also ranked 13th in the region.
