Wilson, N.C. / Zebulon, N.C. - North Carolina Wesleyan's baseball team dropped a trio of games to 22nd-ranked Methodist University at this weekend's USA South Spring Sports Festival. The two squads played Thursday's opener and Saturday's finale at historic Fleming Stadium in Wilson, while Friday's contest was played at Five County Stadium in Zebulon.

The Battling Bishops (10-28) suffered an 11-1 loss in Thursday's opener before falling in games two and three by identical 8-3 scores. Justin DiSanto batted .500 in the series (4-for-8) with a pair of RBIs, while junior Ciro Norzagaray went 5-for-11 with four doubles.

Playing their final games as Bishops, seniors Marcus Kornegay, J.J. Rodriguez and Ricardo Ciuffetelli combined for seven hits over the three-game span. Senior hurler George Moore also tossed 1.2 scoreless innings in Saturday's finale, allowing just one hit and striking out two.

Wesleyan also says farewell to seniors Brad Guengerich, Stephen Machin and Lee Dunn as the three-game set brings the 2015 season to a close.
