CARY, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan College baseball team rallied from behind to score 7 runs over the final two innings to take game two of their conference series 9-3 with Peace University on the road at the USA Baseball training complex in Cary Saturday afternoon.

Wesleyan entered the 8th trailing 3-2 and took the lead on RBI singles from senior catcher Brandon Wheat and freshman 3B Andrew Nichols. Following a sacrifice fly, senior LF Logan Andrews stepped up and stroked a two-run double to make it 7-3. The Bishops would then add two more runs in the 9th on a Wheat RBI double and a Peace error to grab the win, improving to 16-6 overall and 7-3 in the USA South.

Five Bishops recorded two hits apiece in the win led by two doubles from Andrews and a double each from Brad Pennington and Wheat. Along with Andrews, Pennington, Wheat, Nichols, and freshman DH Jackson Murray also all registered two-hit games for the Battling Bishops.

Senior pitcher Nate Gardner tossed 5 innings for NCWC allowing 10 hits, but only 3 runs on a walk and 4 strikeouts. Reliever Michael Smith (2-0) then got the win throwing 3 scoreless innings allowing just one hit with a K while junior Noah Shrock came on for a scoreless ninth striking out two.
