Manteo, N.C. - In the 2023 Premier League and Tidewater League All-Star Showdown, Drifton and Chandler Padgett shined representing the Edenton Steamers. In the 10-0 blowout, Chandler Padgett was the first Clam that pitched for the PCL, striking out three batters and only allowing one hit in dominating fashion. Not to be outdone by his brother, Drifton Padgett also collected an RBI single to help the winning effort.
Drifton's defensive play never slouched in Edenton this summer either, by being a reliable glove for the Clams that led the way in DIII Baseball in 2023 with a perfect .1000 fielding percentage.
This summer for the Steamers, both Padgetts have been outstanding and have been dubbed the 'Clamtastic" Player of the Night multiple times for their exceptional performances this summer, which is what Edenton calls their Player of the Game.
