Rocky Mount, N.C. - North Carolina Wesleyan football player Dwayne Hollis continued to rack up accolades this week as the senior defensive back was named to two more preseason All-American teams. Having already earned preseason All-American status by Beyond Sports Network, Hollis was honored this week as a First Team "D3 Senior Classic" Preseason All-American, which followed an earlier Honorable Mention accolade from USA Football News.

Last season, Hollis was tabbed a Third Team All-Region selection by D3Football.com, while also garnering Honorable Mention All-American status by BSN at kick returner. A Newport News, Va. native, Hollis was a USA South First Team pick at both defensive back and return specialist, becoming the first player in Wesleyan history to garner such honors at two different positions.

Statistically, Hollis managed 43 tackles and a team-high seven pass break-ups on the season, while return-wise, he racked up 538 yards and a touchdown. Finally, in the classroom, the All-American was named to the 2011-12 Capital One Academic All-District Team for a second straight year.

Congratulations Dwayne!
