Greensboro, N.C. - Sophomore pitcher Leanna Fann and freshman hurler Kelsi Bailey each held Guilford College to just one run in their respective complete-game performances, helping their Battling Bishop softball team earn a road sweep of the Quakers on Wednesday afternoon. NCWC won by 3-1 and 10-1 tallies.

In the opener, Fann (10-6) picked up her tenth win of the season by allowing just one run on seven hits. Sophomore Maria Seay drove in two of the Bishops' runs, while senior Meredith Mills erased a 1-1 tie in the seventh with a solo blast to left-center that proved to be the gamewinner.

The nightcap saw Wesleyan's offense explode for ten runs, which was more than enough for Bailey (6-8), who allowed just one run on six hits and struck out three.

Wesleyan got all the offense it would need in the first when Mills, Paige Pritchett and Amanda Warley all drove in runs. Mills and Warley, in fact, combined for five hits and five RBIs in the contest, while freshman Logan Tollison led all players with a 4-for-5 performance at the plate.

With the sweep, the Bishops move to 16-14 on the season and the Quakers drop to 12-14. Wesleyan wraps up USA South play at Averett on Friday.
