Braswell Earns Second USA South Rookie Pitcher of the Week Nod

Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its weekly accolades for March 5th, with N.C. Wesleyan freshman Beth Braswell earning her second Rookie Pitcher of the Week honor in softball.

A Princeton, N.C. native, Braswell earned a 2-1 record with one save and a 1.11 ERA last week in four appearances in the circle for the Battling Bishops. In 19.0 innings pitched, Braswell allowed five runs, three of which were earned, on 16 hits with six walks and 22 strikeouts. Braswell collected complete-game wins over Mary Washington and William Peace, then added an additional save over the Pacers.
