Beth Braswell, N.C. Wesleyan - The Princeton, North Carolina sophomore earned two victories in two complete-game starts last week for the Battling Bishops in the circle. Braswell tossed a total of 14.0 innings, allowing two runs on 12 hits with four walks and 18 strikeouts.
In a 2-1 win Tuesday over USA South foe Greensboro, Braswell allowed just one run on five hits with one walk and 10 strikeouts. In a 3-1 victory over Maryville on Saturday, Braswell allowed just one run on seven hits with one walk and three strikeouts.
She beat out 8 other nominees from the conference. Braswell is now 5-2 on the season with an ERA of 2.66 and 45 strikeouts through 47 innings pitched.
She next leads the 8-5 Lady Bishops into an away conference tilt with Methodist University on Tuesday at 3:00 PM as they look to extend their 6 game winning streak.
