Softball Player of the Week
Meredith Mize, N.C. Wesleyan - The junior shortstop from Edenton, North Carolina was a combined 9-for-12 (.750) with a .769 on-base percentage and a 1.167 slugging percentage to go along with eight runs scored, seven RBI, three doubles, one triple and three stolen bases as the Battling Bishops have posted a 4-0 record to begin the season.
In a doubleheader sweep of Div. II Shaw University, Mize was a combined 6-for-7 with four runs scored, three RBI, two doubles and two stolen bases. In a doubleheader sweep of Div. Mize will next help lead the Bishops into the Triangle Classic in Raleigh this weekend. However, they will first host Pitt CC in a 3 PM scrimmage this Wednesday.
