Rocky Mount, N.C. - The North Carolina Wesleyan women's basketball team honored its 2013 senior class on Sunday afternoon, then posted a dominating 75-47 victory over Mary Baldwin College in the regular season finale for both teams. Four-year letterwinners Leann Breeden and Samantha Urquhart rose to the occasion, as Breeden turned in her first career double-double and Urquhart became the program's career leader in free throws made with 374.

Down 5-4 in the opening minutes, back-to-back three-pointers by Breeden put Wesleyan on top, and the Bishops would not trail again. Breeden and Urquhart, in fact, scored 10 of their team's first 12 points before junior Monet Edwards got the Bishops going with eight points off the bench. NCWC led 34-19 at the half.

The Bishops went on to lead by as many as 34 points in the second half. The highlight of the period came on Urquhart's milestone free throw, which came with 15:32 remaining when she drained her 373rd and 374th career attempts from the charity stripe to pass NCWC Hall of Famer Lisa Tyson in the record book.

Urquhart finished with a team-high 15 points, while Breeden had 11 points and 11 rebounds. Shanice Goree chipped in 12 points and Edwards 10 for the Bishops, who held a 60-30 advantage on the boards.

Wesleyan (12-13, 11-7 USA South) will now prepare for next weekend's USA South Conference Tournament in Fayetteville, N.C. The Bishops enter as the league's 4th seed and will take on 5th-seeded Methodist University at 1:00pm on Friday. NCWC and MU split their regular season games, with each team winning on its home floor.
