Fayetteville, N.C. - The 2013-14 season serves as the 50th for the USA South Athletic Conference. In an effort to relive 50 Years of great student-athlete performances, each current league institution was given the opportunity to submit names of student-athletes who competed within the Conference and excelled not only on their campuses, but in the Conference as a whole. The league has continued its recognition of these teams with  the sport of women's basketball, and N.C. Wesleyan is proud to have placed ten Bishop players on the squad.

The sport of women's basketball's first Conference-sponsored regular season and tournament championships took place during the 1981-82 season. N.C. Wesleyan captured its lone regular season title during the 1993-94 season, as well as the first of two tournament crowns and NCAA tournament berths that same year. Their second tourney championship and postseason appearance came during the 1999-00 season.

Individually, the Bishops have had several players garner All-Conference accolades, led by two-time USA South Player of the Year Misty Carneal, who is the program's all-time leading scorer and had her #35 jersey retired in 2012.

• Lisa Tyson (1,000-Pt. Scorer, All-Time Leading Rebounder, 3-time All-Conference & MVP, NCWC Hall of Famer)
• Chris Webb (1,000-Pt. Scorer, All-Time Assist & Steals Leader, National Assists Champion, MVP, NCWC Hall of Famer)
• Jill Livezey (1,000-Pt. Scorer, 2-time All-Conference & MVP, NCWC Hall of Famer)
• Misty Carneal (All-American, 1,000-Pt. Scorer, 4-time MVP, 3-time All-Conference, '01 & '02 Conference Player of the Year, NCWC Hall of Famer)
• Samantha Urquhart (1,000-Pt. Scorer, All-Time Leader in FTs Made, 4-time MVP, 3-time All-Conference)
