Greensboro, N.C. - Junior Timyra Staton turned in her first double-double with the Bishops by netting 10 points and pulling down 13 rebounds, but it would not be enough as NCWC fell at Guilford by 82-63 score on Tuesday night.

The Bishops struggled from the floor in the opening quarter and faced an 18-6 deficit after connecting on just 2-of-17 shots over the first ten minutes of play. Junior Kenyata Harris proceeded to score seven of her nine points in the second quarter to send the two teams into the half with Guilford leading 38-21.

The second half saw GC hold a slim 44-42 edge after Wesleyan out-scored its opponent 24-19 in the fourth. The Bishops got 31 points from their bench, led by Staton's double-double and freshman Cherelle Turrentine's season-best nine points.

The Bishops are now 2-2 on the young season heading into the Thanksgiving break. NCWC opens USA South Conference play on Friday, December 4th, at William Peace University. Tip-off is slated for 7:00pm in Raleigh.
