Rocky Mount, N.C. - Despite a season-high 22 points from junior Kenyata Harris, the Battling Bishop women's hoops squad fell at USA South foe Piedmont on Tuesday by an 80-64 score.

With the Lions holding a slim 17-16 lead at the end of the first quarter, the Bishops came out on fire in the second and netted 10 of the period's first 12 points. NCWC again led by seven, 30-23, with 4:03 remaning, but Piedmont would use a 14-1 run to take a 37-31 lead into intermission.

The second quarter run would prove a pivotal point in the game. PC carried its momentum into the third quarter, out-scoring the Bishops by 10 in the period. Each team posted 20 in the fourth for the 80-64 final.

Both teams shot nearly 40 percent from the floor on the night, with the biggest statistical difference coming in points-off-turnovers where the Lions (4-3, 2-0 USA South) held a 37-16 advantage.

Harris was the lone Bishop to reach double-figures. Freshman Christina Lewis pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.

Wesleyan (3-5, 1-1 USA South) will now break for the holidays before returning to action on December 30th at Lynchburg College.
