Fayetteville, N.C. - In Wednesday night's USA South hoops action, the Battling Bishop women's basketball team of N.C. Wesleyan completed the regular season sweep of Methodist University by posting a 71-57 win on the road. Sophomore Daijah Davis turned in solid performance with 11 points, five steals, and three assists, while junior KeChae Parker added 18 points and nine rebounds in the victory.

The Monarchs (5-15, 3-6 USA South) actually grabbed the early lead and held a 16-14 edge at the end of the first quarter. The Bishops, however, reeled off 10 points in the first 90 seconds of the second period to take a 5-point lead, 24-19, and they would not trail again. Senior Alexis Fitzgerald drained a pair of treys to highlight the pivotal run.

Wesleyan eventually led 37-29 at the half and 53-42 heading into the fourth quarter. The Bishops proceeded to go up by as many as 16 late in the final period, cruising to their second double-digit win over the Monarchs this season.

As a team, the Bishops shot a solid 47 percent from behind the arc on the night (8-for-17). Fitzgerald finished with a trio of her own, while Parker and sophomore Nadiya Holley each knocked down 2-of-3 attempts from downtown. Freshman Caila Spruill controlled the glass with a game-high 11 rebounds.
