Bishops fall in heartbreaker to Greensboro

ROCKY MOUNT, NC - The Lady Bishops lost a hard fought battle to first place Greensboro College Saturday.

SENIOR FORWARD Kayrisma Harrison had an absolute monster day with 27 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. Along with her, the steady guard Nadia Simmons had 17 points and 7 rebounds on the afternoon.

The defense had a great day for the women recording six blocks and forcing the Pride to turn the ball over 13 times during the game. Wesleyan also brought tremendous defensive pressure behind the arc with Greensboro only shooting 27% from 3.

Another tremendous stat from the Bishops was their shooting from the charity stripe. Wesleyan shot 90% from the free throw line, going 18/20.

The women will look to bounce back against Salem College tomorrow.
