Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its weekly basketball awards for January 28th, and for the fifth time this season, senior Brandon Givens has earned Player of the Week accolades. The current active scoring leader in the nation, the Ruffin, S.C. native led the Bishops to a 2-0 record last week versus USA South competition by averaging 28.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per contest.
On Wednesday, Givens helped his Bishops to an 82-77 win over Methodist, tallying 30 points, six rebounds and three assists. Then in a 70-65 win over Ferrum on Saturday, he totaled 26 points, nine rebounds, five assists and one block.
