Raleigh, N.C. - N.C. Wesleyan's Brandon Givens poured in a game-high 37 points, while fellow seniors Cornelius Snow and Julian Martin chipped in 17 and 10, respectively, to help lead their Battling Bishops to an 88-78 victory at William Peace University Friday night.

Wesleyan raced out to a 10-0 lead in the first three minutes of the game as four different starters found the scoring column. The Pacers managed to get on track offensively, but they had no answer for the inspired play of Snow, who netted all 17 of his points in the period en route to a 45-37 NCWC lead at the break.

WPU would get no closer than five points in the second half as Givens took over where Snow left off with 21 points of his own. As a team, the Bishops knocked down 17-of-30 attempts in the period to finish at over 56 percent accuracy on the night.

In addition to NCWC's double-figure scorers, freshman Evan Collins dished out six assists and collected five steals, while Givens completed the double-double with 11 rebounds.

The Bishops (15-8) return to USA South action on Sunday at LaGrange College. Tip-off is slated for 4:00pm.
