Rocky Mount, N.C. - North Carolina Wesleyan outscored Mid-Atlantic Christian by 30 points in the second half to secure a 91-50 victory over the Mustangs on Saturday afternoon in Everett Gymnasium. Freshman Tamell Bradham netted a team-high 19 points to pace the Bishops, who evened their record at 4-4 on the season.

The Mustangs' only lead came on the first bucket of the contest, a three-ball that gave MACU a 3-0 advantage in the opening minute. Senior Josh Morrison countered with a trey of his own, which was followed by a Shannon Huff lay-up to give the Battling Bishops a lead they would not relinquish.

After forging a 38-27 lead at the break, Wesleyan opened the second half with a 9-2 run that saw Huff net seven of his 18 points during the stretch. Bradham went on to score 14 points in the period, while freshman Joshua Nelson put the exclamation point on a solid team effort with back-to-back dunks in the final two minutes.

Both Huff and Bradham finished 8-of-10 from the floor, while Morrison joined them in double-figures with 13 points. Sophomores Brandon Brown and Devontae Williams controlled the glass with eight rebounds apiece, and senior David Gurganus managed a game-high five assists.

As a team, the Bishops shot over 55 percent from the floor on the day and dominated the rebounding column, 44-28.

The Bishops return to action on Tuesday when they host Guilford College, which wraps up play before the holiday break. Tip-off is slated for 3:00pm in Everett Gym.
