Morrison Named USA South First Team All-Conference

Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its 2013-14 All-Conference awards for men's basketball. A total of 25 student-athletes were named to various teams, with N.C. Wesleyan having two Battling Bishops garner accolades. Senior Josh Morrison was tabbed a First Team selection, and his fellow captain, David Gurganus, was named a member of the All-Sportsmanship team.

A native of Chapel Hill, N.C., Morrison ranked third in the league in scoring this regular season by averaging 18.8 points per game. The versatile guard added over five rebounds per contest, while ranking fourth in the league with 99 assists. Gurganus, who hails from Goldsboro, grabs his second straight All-Sportsmanship nod.

Elsewhere around the league, Maryville's Jaumonee Byrd was named Player of the Year, while his coach, Randy Lambert earned Coach of the Year honors. Greensboro's Devan Gregory collected Rookie of the Year accolades to round out the individual awards.
