Rocky Mount, N.C. - Junior Robert Wilson notched his sixth double-double of the season on Saturday afternoon, helping his N.C. Wesleyan men's basketball team secure an 82-62 victory over Berea College in Everett Gym. Wilson poured in 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to help the Bishops move to 12-9 overall, 10-3 in USA South action.

While Wesleyan ended the day with a 20-point win, it was Berea that held the early advantage with an 8-point lead, 20-12, midway the first half. The Bishops got their offense going with a lay-up by freshman Damon McDowell that ignited a 14-0 run between the second and third media timeouts. Six different Bishops scored during the pivotal run, which included huge treys from junior Justin Tankelewicz and Wilson.

Wesleyan took an eventual 37-33 lead into the break and never trailed in the second half.

McDowell and sophomore Ricardo Bullock once again provided a spark off the bench. McDowell finished with 11 points, while Bullock pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds and recorded a trio of blocks and assists. Junior Chris Braswell and Tankelewicz rounded out NCWC's double-figure scorers with 19 and 11 points, respectively.

For Berea (7-13, 3-9 USA South), Torell Carter finished with a game-high 22 points.

Wesleyan returns to action on Wednesday night when the Bishops travel to division-leading Methodist University. Tip-off is slated for 7:30pm in Fayetteville.
