Lacrosse Drops Game at Dallas

DALLAS, TX - The NC Wesleyan College women's lacrosse team lost a hard-fought game at the University of Dallas 18-10 on Sunday afternoon in Texas.

Wesleyan rallied back from a 7-2 first half deficit by going on a 3-1 run to end the half down just 8-5. The Lady Bishops would then open the second half with two quick goals from Grace Look trimming their deficit to one at 8-7 with 25 minutes to play.

However, Dallas (3-4) would then go on a 9-1 run, unfortunately, to put the game out of reach.

Freshman attacker Grace Look led the Bishops offensviely with 6 goals and 4 draw control wins while sophomore midfielder Ali Cucinotta also added 3 goals and an assist and 8 draw wins. Freshman MF Madison O'Neill also recorded 3 assists while freshman Lindsay Abernathy scored her first career goal as well in the loss off an assist from O'Neill. She won three draws as well.

Freshman goalie Millenia Crespo would make 21 saves along with collecting nine ground balls.

The Bishops fall to 0-3 and finish their Texas trip with a game at Southwestern University on Tuesday at 6 PM.
