Lacrosse Clinches Spot in USA South Tournament Defeating Greensboro 13-2

Greensboro, N.C. - The N.C. Wesleyan lacrosse program crushed Greensboro on Sunday by a score of 13-2. Senior Blaire Harley led the way in scoring for the Bishops compiling a season-best five goals. She was followed by Lily McCarty and Lailah Espinal who had three each in the 13-2 rout.

Wesleyan especially had a strong second half scoring ten unanswered goals, (five in both quarters). Mia Scherber made a big impact on the contest as well, recording four ground balls in the contest. As a team statistically, the Lady Bishops forced four turnovers, recorded sixteen groundballs, and only allowed the Pridge to attempt seven total shots.

With the win, Wesleyan clinches the 8th seed in the conference tournament and will face Pfeiffer at 1:00 on Saturday for senior day, and the regular season finale.
