Bishop Lacrosse Falls to Peace

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan College Lacrosse team dropped their conference match to William Peace University 20-5 on Saturday afternoon at home.

Peace ran out to a quick 5-0 lead over the first 7 minutes before freshman midfielder Kailey Andrasko got the Bishops on the board with her 2nd goal of the season.

Sophomore midfielder Ali Cucinotta would then assist freshman attacker Grace Look on their next two goals of the first half but Peace's offense was relentless in putting up 15 first half goals.

Cucinotta would then get the Lady Bishops on the board first in the second half scoring on a free position shot to make it 15-4 before Peace would add five more goals to seal the game. Cucinotta picked up another goal off an assist from freshman midfielder Madison O'Neill with under 7 to play as she finished with 4 total points, 3 draw control wins, 2 ground balls and 3 caused turnovers.  Cucinotta now has 19 goals on the season and 9 assists.

Andrasko also won 3 draws while Look won two while O'Neill added 3 ground balls as well. Freshman Goalie Millenia Crespo also made 17 saves on the day.

The Bishops fall to 0-7 on the year and 0-2 in the conference while Peace remains undefeated at 6-0 and 3-0 in USA South play. Wesleyan is back in action next Saturday when they host Piedmont College at 12 PM.
