NCAA Releases Men's and Women's Division III Tennis Brackets

Rocky Mount, N.C. - The NCAA has released the official brackets for the upcoming 2018 Division III Tennis Championships. Wesleyan's men will be heading to Emory for a first round match-up with Sewanee on Saturday, while the women will head to Mary Washington to face Lebanon Valley College on Friday.

Making their 10th straight NCAA tourney appearance, the 23rd-ranked Bishop men head to Atlanta, Ga. to take on Sewanee in the Round of 32 after receiving a first round bye. Wesleyan has posted an 18-3 record to this point, with one of their three losses coming to the Tigers (21-5) in February's season opener. If the Bishops are able to avenge that loss with a win on Saturday, NCWC will take a 16-match winning streak into Sunday's regional final versus the winner of top-ranked Emory and a second round opponent to be determined.

The Bishop women will be making the second NCAA appearance in program history after capturing the USA South Tournament Championship back on April 15th. Wesleyan takes a 12-3 record into postseason play and will face MAC Commonwealth Champion Lebanon Valley, which currently boasts a 12-6 overall record. Friday's match will mark the first-ever meeting between the two squads, with the winner advancing to the second round to face Amherst University (10-9) on Saturday.
