In 2004, Everett Gymnasium underwent a $2 million renovation and now houses the Roger G. and Gaile D. Taylor Center, which features the North Carolina Wesleyan Athletics Hall of Fame, Edge Gym and a fitness center. The complex was completed thanks to the generosity of former Wesleyan basketball standout and current Hall of Fame member Roger Taylor, the Battling Bishops' first-ever All-American.
The Taylor Center's auxiliary gym can be used for a variety of activities including basketball, volleyball, and aerobics. It is adjacent to a state-of-the-art fitness center complete with free weights and cardiovascular machines.
Students are welcome to use the Taylor Center gym and fitness center for pick-up games and/or intramurals.
