Rocky Mount, N.C. - In Saturday's baseball action, poor field conditions forced the postponement of Wesleyan's road game at Christopher Newport University and also resulted in the Bishops hosting a non-conference contest versus Bridgewater College. NCWC dropped the contest by a 2-0 score, despite out-hitting the Eagles 5-4 on the day thanks to a 2-for-4 showing by senior J.J. Rodriguez.
Wesleyan is slated to "officially" open its home slate on Wednesday versus Maine-Presque Isle. First pitch, weather permitting, is slated for 2:00pm at Bauer Field.
