Brevard, N.C. - Senior Caleb Narron blasted his first homer of the season and drove in five runs on Tuesday to help his NCWC baseball team post a doubleheader sweep of Brevard College on the road. Wesleyan prevailed by 14-5 and 6-1 scores, giving the Bishops (8-4) six wins in their last seven outings.

GAME 1: NCWC 14, BREVARD 5
In the opener, the Bishops plated five runs on six hits in their first at-bat. Narron's bases-loaded RBI-single to left got Wesleyan on the the board, while his three-run homer in the fourth capped a seven-run inning and gave the Bishops a 12-2 lead at the time. Junior Max Johnson also homered in the frame, finishing 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored from his new home in the leadoff spot. On the mound, freshman Cameron Taylor picked up the win in his first collegiate start, allowing two runs on six hits with three Ks over five complete.

GAME 2: NCWC 6, BREVARD (8 innings)
The nightcap proved to be a pitcher's dual with NCWC hurler Brynner Porter giving up just one run on five hits and striking out four in 6 2/3 innings of work. Down 1-0 heading into the sixth, Wesleyan evened the score after sophomore Brad Pennington ripped a one-out double and promptly scored on an RBI-single by junior Nate Gardner. The Bishops later plated five runs in the eighth to pull away for the win thanks, in part, to a costly BC fielding error that plated the eventual game-winning runs, unearned. Sophomore Noah Shrock (1-1) earned the win in the relief after holding the Tornados scoreless over the final 1 1/3 frames. Black took the tough loss for Brevard (2-8), going the distance and surrendering just six hits on the day.

Next up for the Bishops is a key USA South home series versus the rival Monarchs of Methodist University, who are currently ranked 20th nationally. The three-game set kicks off on Friday at 3:00pm at Bauer Field
