The 2019 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region teams and Regional Players of the Year have been announced in all eight regions. The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America Committee.
NC Wesleyan senior center fielder Cedrick Kornegay was named Tuesday to the NCAA Div. III South All-Region Second Team as an outfielder.
This award goes along with his All-USA South Conference First Team Selection back in April as well. Kornegay has also won a Conference Player of the Week award earlier this season.
Kornegay led the Bishops with a .372 batting average and 58 hits while slugging .551 with 11 doubles, 4 triples, and three home runs. He also drove in 37 runs, drew 15 walks and stole 6 bases while getting on base at a .431 clip and scoring 38 runs with 86 total bases.
