The USA South Athletic Conference's baseball coaches have released their 2020 preseason poll. Head coaches do not vote for their own teams in the balloting.
The 2020 USA South Baseball Tournament will be played April 23-26 at Fleming Stadium in Wilson, North Carolina as well as Bauer Field in Rocky Mount as a part of the USA South Spring Sports Festival, hosted by the City of Rocky Mount. The top-eight teams following regular season play will advance to the double-elimination tournament.
The Battling Bishops, coming off a 24-16 season last year that saw them advance to the conference tournament semifinals, were chosen to finish 7th in the 2020 USA South Coaches Preseason Poll on Wednesday. They are two points behind sixth place Maryville while defending champion LaGrange was picked to finish first along with 7 first place votes.
Wesleyan opens their season at home on Saturday, Feb, 8 at 11 AM with a doubleheader against Eastern Mennonite University.
