ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan College Baseball team pulled out a series win over conference foe Brevard College (N.C.) on Sunday using stellar pitching and clutch hitting to grab a 2-1 win at Bauer Field.

Junior pitcher Drew Tubb threw a complete game 4-hitter allowing just a solo home run in the 9th while walking two and striking out 7 to pick up his first win of the season. He also lowered his ERA to 2.82 on the season with 21 strikeouts.

A scoreless game through 6 and a half innings saw the Bishops senior 2B Brad Pennington rope a RBI double to left scoring 1B Jackson Murray all the way from first in the 7th inning.

Senior catcher Nick Beaver's RBI single in the 8th that scored Zach Lyon gave the Bishops an insurance run that they would need in the 9th.

Senior SS Alec Titmus also went 2 for 3 on the day with a walk and 2 stolen bases while freshman CF Drifton Padgett singled and stole a base as well.

The Bishops improve to 4-9 on the season and 2-4 in the USA South while dropping Brevard to 2-11 and 1-5.
