LaGrange, GA- The NC Wesleyan baseball team fell just short in the weekend series at LaGrange. In Game 1 of the series, the Bishop bats got off to a scorching start. In game 2, which ended up being the most contested of the weekend, the Bishops got walked off in the 9th with a heartbreaking 4-3 loss. Starting pitching was once again the driving force for the Bishops in this one with Junior Payne Stoldworth throwing 7 innings of 3-run baseball to give Wesleyan a shot late. While the outcome was not in the Bishop's favor, there were many high spots during the 2nd game. Luke Chung had an impressive 2 hit game with 1 of the 3 RBIs for Wesleyan. Davie Morgan was also able to continue his hot streak with a 2/4 ballgame that gave him a multi-hit game in every contest this week.

On Sunday, the game was never really in Wesleyan's favor with the pitching struggling in a 15-9 loss. Senior Zach Lyon was able to get 3 hits and 3 RBIs for the game, however, and Jackson Hobbs also was able to contribute 3 hits as well.
