The USA South Athletic Conference's men's golf coaches have released their 2022 pre-championship poll. Head coaches do not vote for their own teams in the balloting. Methodist was picked as the favorite by the coaches and will try to dethrone last year's tournament champions, Piedmont. The top-nine teams ranked within the 4/13 Golfstat rankings qualify for the tournament.

The 2022 USA South Men's & Women's Golf Championships will take place April 18-20 at The Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Each event will be three rounds for a total of 54 holes.

Wesleyan freshman golfer Matt Coltren qualified for the USA South tournament as an individual based on his golfstat ranking and scores in tournaments throughout the season. Coltren shot an 11-over par 83 in the first round on Monday and will tee off in round two on Tuesday at 9am.

The 2022 USA South Men's Golf Tournament includes the top-nine Conference teams according to the Golfstat rankings which were released the week prior to the event (4/13/22). Additionally, the event will also feature the top-three individuals, according to the same Golfstat rankings, from the teams not qualifying for the League Tournament. The event will consist of three rounds (56 holes) beginning on Monday, April 18 and concluding on Wednesday, April 20 at The Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Live hole-by-hole results will be available for each of the three days.
