Rocky Mount, N.C. - The NCWC men's soccer team honored its seniors on Wednesday prior to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of conference champion Greensboro College at Scalf Field. Despite the loss, the Bishops have secured the #4 seed in USA South Tournament and will host Averett University on Saturday at 2:30pm.

Versus Greensboro on Wednesday, the two teams seemed destined for overtime before the Pride erupted for a trio of goals in the final eight minutes. Statistically, the Bishops and Pride played an even match, creating 14 shots each. GC's Jaime Payamps made five saves to secure the shutout.

Prior to the match, head coach Frankie Taal honored the eight senior members of his squad: Zach Shaikh, Joe Storer, Egor Kabalin, Grant Cummings, Sebastian Wiiala, Matt Moore, Peter Hviid, and Mario Andrade.

Saturday's match-up with Averett marks the second straight year that the Bishops will host the Cougars in First Round action.
