Bishop Men's Soccer Season Ends in USA South Semifinals

Greensboro, N.C. - The men's soccer team of N.C. Wesleyan saw its 2015 season come to an end on Friday at Greensboro College, as the Bishops fell to the Pride by a 3-1 score in the USA South Tourney semifinal round.

Top-seeded Greensboro got a pair of goals by league Player of the Year Sean Watt, the first coming in the 17th minute off a Scott Fatyol assist. USAS Rookie of the Year Carlos Barragan made it 2-0 just after the break with an unassisted score at 46:02, while Watt's second tally in the 75th minute effectively put the match out of reach.

Bishop junior Daniel Kamdem erased GC's shutout bid by notching an unassisted goal in the 89th minute that secured the 3-1 final. For his efforts, Kamdem was named to the All-Tournament Team.

The Pride held a slim 11-9 edge in the shots on the day, with both goalies making a trio of saves apiece.

Wesleyan ends the season with a 9-9-1 overall record.
