Men's Soccer Player of the Week
Baboucarr Njie, N.C. Wesleyan - The junior forward from Washington, D.C. tallied four goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for the Pride against USA South competition. In a 6-1 win over Averett, Njie notched a hat trick by scoring the game-tying goal in the second half and two more insurance tallies while also adding an assist on the eventual game-winning goal. In a 2-0 win over Greensboro, Njie assisted on the eventual game-winning goal while scoring one of his own later in the match. He beat out 8 other nominees for the win.
Njie will next lead the 9-2-1 Bishops on Senior Day this Saturday when Wesleyan hosts Pfeiffer University at 4:00 at Scalf Field.
