Men's Soccer Puts Away Pfeiffer 3-0

ROCKY MOUNT, NC - The NC Wesleyan College Men's Soccer team used three first half goals to shut out Pfeiffer University 3-0 in USA South action on Senior Day Saturday.

Sophomore forward Aazah Daniel got the Bishops going early scoring his 2nd goal of the season in the 15th minute of action to put Wesleyan up 1-0. The Bishops then came back with 2 goals in a span of 2 minutes near the end of the first half.

Senior defender Dimas Reyes then knocked in his first career goal on senior day on a penalty kick in the 35th minute of play. Junior striker Baboucarr Njie then made it 3-0 as he scored off a Matteo Costa assist. It was Njie's 13th goal this season, a new career-high. 

The men outshot the Falcons 17-2 in the first half and 22-7 overall as goalkeeper Tobias Borzel made 3 saves in the win. The Bishops improve to 10-2-1 overall and 8-1 in the conference while Pfeiffer falls to 5-8 overall and 3-6 in the league. 

The Bishops return to action on Wednesday at home at 4:00 to host William Peace in their final regular season home game.
