BEREA, Ky. - The NC Wesleyan College men's soccer team scored a second half goal to defeat the defensively minded Berea College (Ky.) 1-0 on the road Saturday afternoon.

Wesleyan dominated the Mountaineers 10-0 on shots in the first half, but could not find the net as they went into the break scoreless.

Wesleyan would finally find their goal they needed in the 58th minute of the second half when sophomore midfielder Matteo Costa kicked it through the net off an assist from sophomore forward Aazah Daniel for his 7th goal of the season.

The Bishops would continue to outshoot Berea 15-3 in the second half by not letting them get any good scoring chances. Goalkeeper Tobias Borzel made one save in picking up the shutout, his 7th of the year.

Wesleyan improves to 12-2-1 overall and 10-1 in the conference as they will next face a tough West foe on Sunday against Maryville at 3:30 PM.
