CHARLESTON, S.C. - The NC Wesleyan College men's soccer team played to a scoreless draw on the road with a Division 1 opponent, College of Charleston (S.C.) on Wednesday evening.

The teams played 90 minutes of scoreless soccer before playing two 10 minute overtime periods with Wesleyan outshooting Charleston 10-9 in the first half and 3-2 in the overtime periods.

CoC (0-0-2) outshot the Bishops in the second half, but neither team could muster the winning goal in a game that featured plenty of fouls and yellow cards.

Freshman midfielder Juan Simoniello led the team with 8 shots and three on goal while forward Lorenzo Cocchia also attempted 3 shots.

Goalkeeper Tobias Borzel played well throughout making 6 saves on all 6 shots he faced on goal.

This was Wesleyan's lone non-conference game of the season so far as they are now 2-1-1 on the year. The Bishops will next be in action on March 13 when they come home to host Averett at 12 PM.
