Bishop Men play to a Draw with Johns Hopkins

Fredericksburg, Va. - The NC Wesleyan College men's soccer team opened their season on Saturday playing to a 1-1 draw with Johns Hopkins Univ. in a neutral site matchup at Mary Washington.

Senior David Olabisi scored the tying goal for the Bishops in the 86th minute as Wesleyan responded back with the goal after JHU had taken the lead a minute earlier. 

Neither team would score however in the two 10 minute overtime periods as Wesleyan outshot the Blue Jays 3-1 in the OT periods. 

Sophomore Goalkeeper Matteo Torchio finished the game making 5 saves on 6 shots as JHU outshot Wesleyan overall 11-9

The Bishops (0-0-1) return to action Sunday at 1 PM to battle UMW in Fredericksburg.
