ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan College men's soccer team put on a quality shutout at home on Saturday as they defeated non-conference foe Mary Washington 2-0. The game was a rematch from a game earlier this season won by the Eagles 1-0.

A scoreless first half saw UMW (Va.) outshoot the Bishops just 8-5 along with 13 total fouls. The second half, though, was a different story as the Bishops would score two goals and outshoot the Eagles just 3-2.

Wesleyan broke through first in the 50th minute as sophomore forward Agustin Rodriguez scored off an assist from fellow sophomore midfielder Augustin Belgiorno. Wesleyan then added an insurance goal in the 67th minute when sophomore defender Abubacarr Fofana put it in the net for his first goal of the season.

Sophomore goalkeeper Tobias Borzel picked up his first shutout of the season making seven saves in the win.

With the win, the Bishops improve to 2-4-2 on the year while dropping UMW to 4-2-1.

Wesleyan will next finish non-conference play next week with a home game vs. Barton College on Wednesday at 4 PM.
