BUENA VISTA, Va. - The NC Wesleyan College men's soccer team cruised to a big 4-1 win over new conference foe Southern Virginia on the road Saturday night.

The third straight win improves the Bishops to 4-1 in the conference and 6-6-2 overall.

Sophomore midfielder Juan Simoniello got the Bishops on the board first scoring unassisted in the 13th minute. Wesleyan then took the 1-0 lead into halftime before senior captain Jack Holden increased Wesleyan's lead to two with his goal just two minutes into the half. The goal was Simoniello's third of the season and Holden's first.

Ian Garnero then assisted Andrea Lacche in the 56th minute to put NCWC up 3 to nil. After an SVU goal made it 3-1, Lacche then came back a minute later with his second goal of the game in the 78th minute to put the game away for the Bishops. He was assisted by freshmen Orri Bjornsson and Mauro Infante.

Wesleyan outshot the Knights 10-6 while senior GK Tobias Borzel made 4 saves on 5 shots on goal. SVU drops to 3-11 and 2-3 in the division.
