Rocky Mount, N.C. - On Senior Day at the Slick Family Foundation Tennis Center, the Battling Bishops, under first-year head coach Worth Richardson, captured their fifth straight USA South regular season title with an 8-1 win over league foe Greensboro College. The Bishops, who had previously downed Methodist by the same score on Saturday, were led by senior Artsiom Prostak with a pair of straight-set wins at #1 singles to go along with a 2-0 mark at #3 doubles.

Prostak and fellow senior Clifton Lesak were honored prior to Sunday's match. The duo then teamed for an 8-5 win at #3 doubles to help Wesleyan open up a 3-0 lead. The Bishops proceeded to surrender just three games at #1 through #5 singles, with the Pride's lone point coming at the 6th seed.

The Greensboro match mirrored Saturday's 8-1 win over previously undefeated Methodist and leaves the 16th-ranked Bishops with a perfect 8-0 mark in USA South play. The wins extend NCWC's regular season league winning streak to 33 matches dating back to the 2008 season, while Wesleyan has now won 40 straight matches versus USA South competition entering next weekend's conference tournament.

As the top seed, the Bishops will take on 8th-seeded Averett University on Friday at 9:00am. The tournament consists of the top eight teams in the league and will continue through Sunday, April 14 on Wesleyan's campus.
