Kjellberg/Sikh Advance to NCAA D-III National Quarterfinals

Mason, Ohio - N.C. Wesleyan's Robert Kjellberg and Sebastian Sikh have advanced to the NCAA D-III National Quarterfinals in doubles play after knocking of the Bates College duo of Chris Ellis and Pierre Planche in straight sets Thursday afternoon. The Bishop pair cruised to a 6-1 win in the opening set and clinched the match with a 7-6 win in the second.

Kjellberg/Sikh advance to Friday's Elite 8 round and will face Motasam Al-Houni and Andres Saenz of Gustavus Adolphus at 4:00pm. Follow live at http://livestats.onu.edu/livestats/mtsd/xlive.htm.

Earlier in the day, Kjellberg saw his singles career come to an end at the hands of Cal-Lutheran's Moises Cardenas (7-5, 6-2). Cardenas later advanced to quarterfinal play with a three-set win over Michel Lui of Wesleyan Connecticut. Kjellberg completes his singles career with a program-record 87 career victories.
