SALISBURY, MD - The 20th ranked NC Wesleyan College men's tennis team dropped a tightly-contested non-conference dual 5-4 at Salisbury University on Friday evening.

SU started out edging the Bishops 2-1 in doubles winning the third line bout by a score of 8-7 and 7-5 in the tiebreaker over sophomores Max Robinson and Nikita Revin. Sophomore Jhonny Acosta and senior Ingmar Remmerswaal got the win in doubles taking it 8-5 at the second line.

Junior Roberto Puig at #2, Acosta at #3 and Robinson at the 6th line all led the Bishops with singles wins, but it was not enough as Revin and Valentin Aniceto lost tough three-setters at the 4th and 5th lines.

Puig won his battle 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 while Acosta dropped the first set 2-6 before rolling 6-1, 6-1 for his win. Robinson then controlled his foe 7-5, 6-4.
